This time of year there is no lack of treats, hence my recent "say no to 1/2" challenge. But there's that one special treat, that favorite indulgence, that can be worth a few extra calories. (Or worth being adapted to a healthier version for those who have medical reasons to otherwise steer clear.) Grandma's streudel? The cookies you ate as a kid? Pumpkin bread? Whatever it is, whip up a batch and share the love with family, friends, coworkers, or neighbors.
The Results: Fudge! Every year at this time I whip up a batch of fudge. This year's was milk chocolate/peanut butter, and it was a big hit that was promptly devoured at work and at home.
