Day 24: Household Positivity via Spring Cleaning

Posted by J at 6:00 AM
Wednesdays are all about household positivity! Cleaning, clearing, organizing, and embellishing...your living space needs a boost of TLC too!
Today's Positivity activityGive the house a positivity lift with some good old-fashioned spring cleaning.

Cleaning may not be my favorite go-to when I want a happy boost, but sitting in a freshly cleaned space offers a rich enough positivity reward to make the effort worth it. The trick here is to follow the Experimental Positivity rule about making small gestures, not large, sweeping changes. Don't try to overhaul the entire house in one day. Pick a few tasks that need doing--window washing, airing out carpets, flipping the mattress--and spend no more than 1 hour doing them. If there's more to do (and isn't there always when it comes to household chores?), schedule those chores over the next few weeks.

For your journaling today: Write down today's challenge. Did you attempt some cleaning? Note your thoughts about how it went--or not. Do you have a few things left to schedule for another day? You can be as detailed as you wish, or you can simply jot one or two sentences about it.
Optional: Note your daily Positivity Quotient. by rating the following on a scale of 1-100:
