Day 215: Eat Pumpkin Something

Today's Positivity activity: Eat something containing  pumpkin.

Do this instead of:  Eating whatever

I post a  nutrition-related challenge on Thursdays. Since Fall is here and you can't wave a shopping list without hitting a pumpkin, it seemed like a great time to focus on this vegetable. Did you know pumpkins are considered a superfood?  They contain a lot of nutrients, including Vitamins A, E, and C, Beta Carotene, essential fatty acids, and fiber. Also, they contain B5 and L-tryptophan, both of which can help regulate moods and ease depression.

Bonus points if you choose not to consume today's pumpkin in the form of spiced latte from Starbucks (like I did last week to kick off Fall)!

The Results: I had some pumpkin pecan oatmeal at breakfast this morning! If there's a Trader Joe's near you, this is where I picked it up. Very yum!
