Day 296: Guided Meditation for the Winter Solstice

Posted by J at 6:00 AM

Today's Positivity activity:  It's Meditation Monday! It's also Day 2 of my Count My Blessings Countdown Calendar to New Year, in which I'll be examining a different video or film that is uplifting, contains a message of thankfulness, or offers a time of peaceful reflection over the events of the past year. Today is the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, and I found a Winter Solstice meditation to go along with the theme.
Do This Instead of: Stressing out before work;  8 minutes of extra Facebook patrol.
The Results: A nice reflection meditation. One note: the narrator does mention calling on your choice of deity to come with you on the journey, which may not be for everyone. But it was a peaceful time that helps with sitting in a time of difficulty and darkness, then embrace it not as something to fear, but something that will bear you up when falling.
